At MAXIMUS, we recognise that our role as a business leader includes the responsibility to create a positive impact in the communities where we live, work and support.  This responsibility is embedded in our core mission of Helping Government Serve the People. We consider our social responsibilities as we guide our business objectives to achieve long-term growth and sustainabilit.

Contributing to a Sustainable Environment

In order to ensure that everyone can enjoy the environment to its fullest extent, we must make a conscious effort to reduce our environmental footprint. From using less paper and recycling office materials to conserving energy and reducing waste, MAXIMUS offices around the world have implemented "green initiatives" to reduce the environmental impact on our planet. The environment belongs to all of us, and we each have a responsibility to ensure its well-being.

  • Replacing Paper Services – In the US, we have eliminated all paper based pay slips.  In Australia, we are creating a paperless office environment.
  • Recycling and Reusing for Sustainability – We offer full recycling in our offices world over and have installed safe and efficient water filtration systems to replace bottled water.
  • Conserving Energy to Reduce Carbon Emissions – We ensure our out-of-hours impact is reduced by turning off all lighting, automatically sleeping our desktop computers after a period of inactivity and implementing staggered climate control to reduce demand.
Building a Community Hand-in-Hand

We are committed to the local communities in which we serve and operate. We believe this strengthens the bond between our team and the individuals we serve.  MAXIMUS teams have partnered with community-based and non-profit organisations in service projects to help improve the lives of others. Throughout the world, MAXIMUS employees actively participate in charity events to support those in need.

The MAXIMUS Charitable Foundation, created by the MAXIMUS Board of Directors, contributes annual grants to organisations and charities to help improve the lives of young people.
