It’s “Go-live” in North East Yorkshire and Humber

2 February 2015 - MAXIMUS is pleased to announce that the contract to deliver the Work Programme in North East Yorkshire and Humber (Contract Package Area 18) has successfully gone live. Referrals to the programme are now coming in from Job Centre Plus (JCP).

This marks a new milestone for MAXIMUS in the UK. It is the first Work Programme contract to be re-tendered following its inception. Our innovative business model is 100% delivery partner provision supported by MAXIMUS management expertise.

A tight six week implementation period following the award of the contract saw MAXIMUS pull out all those stops to ensure a successful start. All crucial deadlines were met in time for the go-live with Delivery Partners equipped and trained to see the first customers on the programme.

Chris Blackwell, Managing Director, MAXIMUS UK said:

“The Work Programme has helped over 380,000 people into sustained employment. MAXIMUS has made a significant contribution to that total in four CPAs in London and the South East. We are delighted that we now have the opportunity to manage the programme in North East Yorkshire and the Humber area. With our delivery partners we will be working extremely hard to help unemployed people in the region find long term employment.”

The innovative MAXIMUS delivery model includes four supply chain partners who bring particular expertise to the specific geographies of the region.

Rob Spread, Operations and Supply Chain Director for MAXIMUS UK said:

“Our four delivery partners – Work Solutions, Pertemps, Inspire to Independence and 3SC all have strengths in respect of delivery capability that is relevant to the areas in which we will operate. These include managing tailored support packages for ESA customers, experience in supporting individuals from problem families and specialism in employment support in rural areas. They will work hand in glove with MAXIMUS to ensure the people of the region benefit from a first class employment support service.”

CPA  18 is now delivered out of twelve locations covering the whole of the North East Yorkshire and Humberside area.
