Championing disability inclusion at Maximus UK

We’re proud to announce that we have successfully renewed our Level 3 Disability Confident Leader status – the highest and most rigorous level of the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.

This achievement demonstrates our sustained leadership in advancing disability inclusion – both within our organisation and across the communities and supply chains we support.

Setting the standard for inclusive practice

Level 3 Leader status recognises organisations that can demonstrate measurable, evidence-based leadership in disability inclusion.

This accreditation reflects our commitment to embedding inclusion throughout every aspect of our business — from recruitment and workplace culture to service delivery and supply chain management.

Keith Luxon, Senior Vice President of People, said: “We are very proud that Maximus UK has renewed its Disability Confident Leader status. It’s a moment to celebrate what we’ve achieved so far and to recognise there’s still more we can do. By focusing on accessibility and removing barriers, we’re working to build a place where everyone can succeed.”

Embedding inclusion in everything we do

At Maximus, equity means designing workplaces that work for everyone from the outset. We work alongside colleagues to build a culture of open communication about workplace needs – as a standard, not an exception.

As a leading provider in specialist employability and health services, we support thousands of people with disabilities and health conditions into meaningful work each year. The insight we gain from this work directly informs how we shape our own policies and practices – creating a continuous cycle of learning and improvement that strengthens both our service delivery and our internal culture.

Muriel Mattera, Chair of our colleague network MaxAbility, added: “Our renewal as a Disability Confident Leader reflects the incredible partnership between MaxAbility and the business. Through the network’s advocacy, expertise, and commitment, we’ve helped shape the practices, and culture that enable colleagues with disabilities to thrive. MaxAbility are proud to have supported the organisation in achieving this status and will continue championing accessibility and inclusion, ensuring everyone can bring their whole selves to work.”

Renewing our Disability Confident Leader status is both a milestone and a motivation. With support of our colleagues at every level of the business, we remain committed to championing disability inclusion and driving lasting change.
