Experience and expertise: Joseph is an experienced policy and research professional with a strong track record of delivering policy across central government and the third sector. During his time in the Civil Service, he held roles in multiple departments, with his final posting focused on preparing for the possibility of a no-deal UK exit from the European Union.
He was awarded the Alan Johnson Scholarship to undertake doctoral research in politics at the University of Hull, focusing on the secondary education policies of the New Labour governments, before going on to join the teaching staff.
Hobbies and interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, walking, and watching sport.
