The Challenge
The British Armed Forces community is estimated to be around 6 million and growing by 20,000 annually. However, nearly two thirds (64 per cent) of veterans report feeling ‘confused’ when seeking support. Funded by The Armed Forces Covenant, there was a need for a centralised helpline for veterans and families seeking information, advice and support, and so ‘the Veteran’s Gateway’ was created and needed a dedicated, experienced and compassionate team to deliver the service.
Our Solution
Maximus’ expertise in military helplines and 24/7 services positioned us as the key connector for the Veterans’ Gateway, providing front-end customer support, triage, and CRM services. By bringing together over 30 referral partners, like Veterans UK and Mind, we enhanced service access for veterans, improving welfare support and delivery speed. This partnership underscores the impact of collaboration in better serving those who have served in the Armed Forces.
