CBI highlights MAXIMUS joint venture with Remploy

The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has highlighted the MAXIMUS joint venture with Remploy in its series of case studies on key commercial behaviours for government.

CBI argue that a fundamental re-examination of how public services are delivered is essential if the challenges of lower spending and rising demand are to be met. Government's commercial strategy in the last Parliament played a part in driving down costs. Looking ahead, government should rapidly build on those initiatives recognised as having improved outcomes.

The MAXIMUS/Remploy case study was chosen because of the nature of the  'spinning out' of government ownership of Remploy to become part of MAXIMUS, the clear synergies between the two organisations and the collaborative way in which all parties involved worked together to achieve the desired outcome.
