James’s role is to lead our Assessments Division which includes delivery of the Health Assessment Advisory Service by the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments.

Appointed to current role: April 2018

Experience and expertise: James has substantial experience in leading and delivering change through large teams across complex multi-site environments. He has extensive knowledge of large, often regulated, national and international organisations across different industry sectors; including aviation, logistics and services. James has worked in senior leadership roles at Royal Mail, Heathrow Airport and British Airways.

James studied at the University of Hertfordshire and attended Michigan Business School.

Hobbies and interests: In his spare time, James enjoys theatre, tennis and golf. He has a particular interest in gender equality, which has become a regular topic of discussion and focus both in and out of work.

Other appointments or memberships: James previously held the position of Board Member for the not-for-profit charity, Help the Homeless. He worked with trade union bodies, CBI and TUC and has a keen interest in third sector and wider community initiatives.
