Empowering our colleagues to be the best they can be is a priority at Maximus. We recently hosted our first women in leadership event to provide inspiration and tools to support women in our business to reach their development goals and activate their leadership careers.
The event aimed to address some of the barriers that women face when looking to advance to senior roles and create tangible actions that can be used to support leadership progression. Attendees heard from inspirational business leaders including Anne Altman, Co-Founder and CEO of social impact enterprise Everyone Matters and a Member of the Board of Directors at Maximus.
This event was led by MaxWomen, one of our employee networks that aims to support our female colleagues to excel in our business, no matter their background or position.
Penny Arnold, MaxWomen Chair, commented:
“Supporting the professional development of female colleagues is something I am extremely passionate about. The Elevating Women in Leadership event aimed to support and enable the many ambitious and driven women in our organisation and help them to succeed in their career.
As an organisation, we are committed to providing the right support to everyone so that they can flourish. We do this through addressing development gaps, providing additional development opportunities and levelling the playing field for all.”
Creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive is extremely important to our business. Other employee networks open to our colleagues include MaxPride, MaxAbility, MaxFaith, MaxCarers and MaxCulture.
