A new employment programme set up in response to the COVID-19 pandemic goes live today (5 October).
Work and Health Programme Job Entry: Targeted Support (JETS) will offer rapid help to thousands of people across Wales, supporting them to learn new skills, build their CV, engage with local employers and find a job.
The programme is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and delivered by Remploy, the country’s leading employment support provider. Remploy is working with hundreds of employers in Wales to give them access to skilled candidates.
In line with Welsh Government guidance and local lockdown restrictions in place across much of Wales, the service will be largely delivered remotely via online video, phone and email, although new offices in Cardiff, Newport, Pontypridd, Rhyl, Swansea and Wrexham will be opened over the coming months to offer face-to-face support to those who need it.
To deliver the new programme, Remploy is recruiting more than 100 new front line staff, to offer expert recruitment advice and employer engagement.
