Maximus was delighted to attend the annual Nursing Times Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last week.

Now in its 32nd year, the event brought together the nursing community to recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements of nursing professionals over the past 12 months.

The awards highlighted excellence and innovation across 25 categories, covering a wide range of nursing specialities from mental health to clinical research. Winners were congratulated for their outstanding contribution to the profession.

Maximus was privileged to sponsor the awards, bringing a group of inspirational nursing colleagues from our Health and Assessments divisions to celebrate on the night.

Our Division President, Dr Paul Williams, was part of the judging panel for the Public Health Nursing Award, alongside Jamie Waterall, the Deputy Chief Nurse at the office for Health Improvement.

Dr Williams presented the award, which was won by Brent Council for their ‘Better health on your doorstep’ initiative.

Dr Paul Williams, UK Division President for Maximus, reflected on the celebrations:

“It’s brilliant to be here at the Nursing Times Awards. We’ve been able to bring nursing colleagues from right across our business, which gives them the opportunity to network and make new connections, to really move us forward with our mission to help people transform their lives.

“Maximus are so proud to sponsor the event, as I think it very much speaks to our values as a team and as a company as well.
“It’s been amazing to learn about so many fabulous projects that nurses and teams of nurses have run right across the country to really help people in need.”

“It’s vitally important that we continue to take proactive steps to promote Maximus and showcase the important work that we do as an organisation. The Nursing Times Awards has been an opportunity for us to have our name recognised in a forum where nursing excellence is being celebrated.

“The nurses joining us here at the event today have demonstrated exceptional leadership, teamwork and compassion for their colleagues. It has been a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise the hard work of our nursing colleagues, and to take a moment to celebrate with other nurse leaders in our profession.”
