In 2020, the ONS reported 5,224 deaths by suicide in England and Wales and ScotPHO reported 805 in Scotland. Around 75% of registered suicide deaths are for males, and it is the leading cause of death in males under the age of 45.Suicide in the workplace is rare, but with people spending a third of their lives in a work environment, employers are in a unique position to help prevent suicidal behaviours.

Suicide Prevention Day takes place every year on the 10 Sept, this year the theme is Creating Hope Through Action.
