Amber leads on the overarching DE&I strategy at Maximus, including developing tangible actions and key success metrics for each business area, and working to embed DE&I into the fabric of the business.

Experience and Expertise: Amber joined Maximus as the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in 2022. She has 9 years’ experience in DE&I roles, both managing DE&I internally and developing policies to support UK citizens while working in UK government roles, including at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Department of Health and Social Care. Her speciality is enabling organisations with people from diverse backgrounds to excel.

An award-winning diversity, inclusion and wellbeing expert, Amber is passionate about inclusion in the workplace, and driven by personal experience of how non-inclusive work practices can impact upon mental health, self-worth and personal relationships. In her role at Maximus, she supports employee network groups and leads the development of programmes to help deliver meaningful change, for example, introducing a new ‘Task and Finish’ group to support Maximus to achieve its recruitment commitments, career development workshops, and a Gender Pay Gap working group.

Hobbies and interests: Amber is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competes nationally. Her commitment to female equality extends to her sporting pursuits – through coaching women-only teams.
