Experience and expertise: Before joining Maximus, Andy served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the UK Civil Service, and previously held roles in the education sector. Andy remains active as a historian, and continues to publish and present his research.
With a background in academic research, Andy completed his PhD in History at the University of Huddersfield with a project on the employment of disabled people in Britain. Prior to this, Andy completed a BA and MA in History, and holds postgraduate certificates in both Education and in Heritage Research.
Hobbies and interests: Outside of time spent with family, Andy enjoys reading and writing about History, taking trips to the cinema, popping outdoors for a run and getting to the gym.
Other appointments or memberships: Andy is a Visiting Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University, and a member of the Royal Historical Society.
